  About the festival:  
The Movie Mouse International Short Film Festival is a short film competition with an official awards ceremony.  
The festival was created with the aim of identifying talented filmmakers and popularizing short films.

* Submitted projects are reviewed and evaluated by a professional jury, which consists of at least three Russian and international experts in the field of cinema.
  Stages:  
  1. All films submitted by filmmakers are reviewed by members of the jury, after which some of them, separately in each category, are included in the official selection (LONGLIST).
  2. Depending on the number of films that have passed to the official selection, further selection stages are formed in each category - semi-final (SEMIFINAL), final (SHORTLIST), nominees (NOMINEE) for the award, winner (WINNER) - Grand Prix of the festival.
  3. The organizers of the festival reserve the right to select both sequentially through all stages and skip some of them, depending on the number of participants in each category.
  4. All finalists and nominees in each category are invited to the awards ceremony by email. All authors who have sent a film to participate in the competition program can apply to the organizers of the festival to attend the official award ceremony.
  5. The winner of the Grand Prix in each category (the winner in the nomination) is announced at the awards ceremony from among the nominees.
  6. Winner in each additional  nominations are announced at the awards ceremony. Awarding in additional nominations is at the discretion of the organizers. (The organizers can choose the winners in all and in some nominations at their discretion).
  •   Terms and conditions:  
  • Please read all Terms and Conditions carefully before submitting your movie. By submitting your film to the film festival, you agree that you are bound by all clauses of these Terms and Conditions.
  • To participate in the film festival, the applicant must submit an application for participation no later than the date of the final deadline and pay the registration fee set by the organizers.
  • Applications can be submitted through the application form "filmfreeway" or on the official website of the Film Festival. Also, the applicant can fill out an application downloaded on the official website and, having completed it, send it to the e-mail of the Film Festival.
  • Short films from all countries of the world are accepted.
  • Films in a language other than English must have English subtitles.
  • Any genres and types of short films are accepted.
  • Films from 3 to 40 minutes in length are accepted, including credits. For animated films - 2 to 40 minutes.
  • Films containing sexual scenes, scenes of violence, smoking, obscene language and other materials that are not intended for viewing by children should be marked "18+" at the beginning
  • The materials submitted for the Competition must not contradict the legislation of the Russian Federation, including the Law "On Narcotic Drugs and Psychotropic Substances", the Law "On Mass Media" and the Law "On Advertising".
  • To participate in the festival, the screening of the film does not have to be a premiere. Films that have been shown at other festivals are eligible for the film festival. Films in the public domain on the Internet are eligible to participate in the film festival.
  • Films with a production date not earlier than January 01, 2012 are accepted. The release date of the film is the date indicated in the application and corresponding to the release date indicated in the end credits.
  • There is no limit on the number of applications for one director. Each application is accompanied by a new participation fee.
  • The first film of the director can be considered a debut, as well as his second film, if in the previous work he was a director in co-authorship.
  • A film nominated in the Debut Film category can also be separately nominated in the Best Fiction Film category. The application must be accompanied by a new participation fee.
  • The festival organizers do not accept unfinished copies of films.
  • All changes and additions to the films presented at the film festival after the application are accepted only if they are accompanied by a new participation fee.
  • Participants submitting a film to the film festival are fully responsible for securing all rights and permissions from copyright holders relating to their application and ensure that they do not infringe on the rights of third parties, including copyrights, individual rights and trademark rights, and also release the organizers of the film festival from claims of third parties in connection with the screening and other use of the film during the Festival. The organizers of the festival are not responsible for claims or complaints from the persons and organizations involved in these works.
  • The organizers of the festival reserve the right to refuse an applicant's participation without giving reasons. Refusal must be accompanied by an appropriate notification to the applicant's email address. 

  • The organizers of the festival reserve the right to disqualify a film that does not meet the requirements of the festival or move it to another competitive category (at the discretion of the organizers).

  • All registration fees are non-refundable.
  • The jury's decision is final and not subject to challenge.
  • By sending a film to participate in the competition program, the author grants the festival organizers the right to use, on a non-commercial basis, any footage and excerpts from the film for display on the Festival website, in promotional materials, including press releases, festival brochures, etc. and ensures that the organizers of the festival are authorized to screen the film as part of the film festival.
  • Participants of the festival, in addition to the mandatory data and materials specified in the application, can send a trailer of the film, which, according to the decision of the organizers, can be shown on the day of the festival. The trailer cannot independently participate in the competition program.
  • Film festival organizers reserve the right to update or change terms and policies without prior notice.
 
  Technical requirements:  
  1. Participants should send the organizers of the festival a link to a copy of the film uploaded to the file hosting service in .mp4, .mpeg format. or .mov and download password, if available. Also, the competition works can be posted on YouTube or Vimeo services in the "Open Access" or "Access by Link" mode.
  2. Participants must submit a movie poster in .jpg or .png format
  3. Links to materials must be active and available until the end of the summing up of the results of the Film Festival.
  4. Resolution for video is preferably 1920 * 1080 (Full HD, 1080p), but not less than 720 * 576.
  5. Each film must have titles that contain a list of all the participants in the project, as well as the release date of the film.
  6. English subtitles can be either embedded in a copy of the film, or sent separately as a link to the same file hosting service or as a .srt file.
  7. Participants, if they wish, can send the organizers of the festival a link to the trailer (teaser) of the film , uploaded  to YouTube or Vimeo services in the "Open Access" or "Access by Link" mode.
 
  Prizes:  
  1. Authors of films qualified for the official selection / longlist will receive notification and official selection laurels by email.
  2. At each stage, authors who have received the opportunity to further participate in the competition (semi-final, final, nomination for an award) also receive notifications and laurels of the corresponding stage by e-mail.
  3. Finalists (shortlist) are awarded finalists 'diplomas, nominees - nominees' diplomas and memorable prizes at the official awards ceremony.
  4. Winners of the Grand Prix in each category are awarded with diplomas and festival statuettes at the official awards ceremony.
  5. Winners in additional nominations are awarded with diplomas and festival statuettes at the official awards ceremony.
  6. The list of semi-finalists, finalists, nominees and winners appears on the festival website after the final results are announced.
  7. Finalists, nominees and winners must be represented by at least one film crew member from the credited project participants at the official awards ceremony. Nominees and winners who are not present at the official awards ceremony can, if they wish, receive statuettes and commemorative prizes by mail at their own expense.
  8. Winners of the Grand Prix, as well as winners in additional nominations in case of absence from the official award ceremony, receive laurels of the winner in the nomination and diplomas of the winners by e-mail.
  9. Awarding the winners, nominees and finalists with valuable gifts and gifts from sponsors, cash and other prizes remains at the discretion of the organizers, and may not be announced in advance.
  10. The organizers independently draw up a list of films that will be shown on the day of the festival and reserve the right to change this list and the schedule of screenings at any time, depending on changes in the regulations and other circumstances. The organizers are not obliged to notify the authors of the inclusion of their works in the final list of screenings on the day of the festival.

from 01.01.2022 to 28.02.2022 - the amount in rubles, equivalent  13 US dollars as of the date of the official filing of the application.
from 03/01/2022 to 04/30/2022 - the amount in rubles, equivalent to 18 US dollars on the date of the official filing of the application.
from 05/01/2022 to 06/30/2022 - the amount in rubles, equivalent to 23 US dollars on the date of the official filing of the application.
For the category GAME FILM
from 11/15/2021 to 12/31/2021 - the amount in rubles, equivalent to 10 US dollars on the date of the official filing of the application.
from 01.01.2022 to 28.02.2022 - the amount in rubles, equivalent  15 US dollars on the date of the official filing of the application.
from 03/01/2022 to 04/30/2022 - the amount in rubles, equivalent to 20 US dollars on the date of the official filing of the application.
from 05/01/2022 to 06/30/2022 - the amount in rubles, equivalent to 25 US dollars on the date of the official filing of the application.
